This one ABA player/coach/front office person a year just doesnt - TopicsExpress

This one ABA player/coach/front office person a year just doesnt cut it. We need more for at least the next 3 years then cut it back to 1-2 a year. Or separate the categories to 2 players and one non-player. Roger Brown was very deserving to be in this year just was George McGinnis will this year and eventually Freddy Lewis, Bob Netolicky, Willie Wise, Don Buse, Louie Dampier, James Silas, Zelmo Beatty, Larry Kenon, Billy Knight, Darnell Hillman, Swen Nater, Mike Brisker, Stew Johnson, Spencer Haywood and Ralph Sampson among a few others. Along with Slick Leonard, Babe McCarthy, Mike Storen and others. At one a year this will take 13 more years to get each of them in and lets assume Im wrong on 2 or 3 but left off another 2 or 3 we still have the same problem: we need more than one a year. Just do it for say 2 years at 3 players and one non player, cut to 2 years at 2 players, 1 one non-player or a 3rd player, 2 years at 3 from any category. That is 6 years and it must fill each spot. That years top players get in regardless of percentage of vote as the quota must be met. If there is a 2 way tie, both go in. More than a 2 way tie, re-vote among the tied player till 1 or 2 are set. If 2 puts it past the set number for that year, so be it. Then, as weve many in while they are at an age where they can enjoy it, drop to 1-2 deserving ABA players/members each year as deemed so by electors with 1 automatic each year as, I believe, wed still be under my list of names above. We can and we gotta make this happen. Ill help in any way I am physically able to do so. Tom
