This one is for my cousin, Gary Sowpel. On Christmas and New Years Eve the families would get together and sing, Christmas songs, songs of the old country and also these old songs from the time of the Russian revolution. Despite any later political differences between all of us these songs spoke to our hearts and spirit. I would sing this in Russian with my mom.
