This one is for true fans of the old WKDR (we know there a sill a few out there) Well call this show The Fool on the Mule its an unedited broadcast of WKDRs Manno & Condon Show from April 1st 1994. It requires a bit of a set up so bear with me.... In the early spring of 1994 there was talk that the State of Vermont might require emission standards as part as car inspections. Well as the proud owner of several junkers a year this concerned me. So I decided to mount a civilian protest by riding a mule around town (dressed as a minuteman). Our good friend Yogi Worthime from Worthime Poneys was to provide me with Max the Mule. I even rode Max during a show on Shelburne Road a week earlier. My maiden ride was to be the morning of Friday April 1st. That Thursday evening Yogi called and told us he and Max couldnt make it. So we decided that I would (via cell phone) fake the ride. Everyone at the station knew except the listeners and Joy Hopkins. I recommend you download this one its nearly 2 hours long. It has Andy Potters awesome newscasts, network news, mid 90s local radio commercials and station Ids and promos all intact. Listen to it next time you have to take a long ride.
