This one is still waiting for her forever home too....one of the lucky ones who is in foster care and NOT at the shelter....Mel is about 1 1/2 years old, black lab female....very very sweet and loving...this is a dog eager to please and loyal to the max....great around other dogs, just adores and loves my little puppy and watches over him 24/7. Knows all basic commands....getting better on a leash but still pulls a little....thinks she needs to be with someone or another dog for company..not sure how she would do alone...might be okay, but shes always had me or the company of my dogs at all times and Ive had her for about a month now...she is high strung and probably would not be suited for a family with young children or infants....theres not a mean bone in her, she does jump and play fairly hard, and wouldnt want to see her hurt anyone by accident....once she burns this off, though , she lays quietly by you with her head in your lap if you let her....and loves belly rubs more than other dog Ive had....she loves peanut butter filled Kongs too....if still a bit food aggressive so I feed her apart from the rest... Shes big and beautiful and has all the lab mannerisms if youre a lab lover !!!
