This one still gives me the chills. Our older daughter was going to college in DC in 2001. On 9/11 when a plane was reportedly headed toward the White House she had to evacuate her classroom which was located right across the street. After our initial cell phone contact with her we were unable to reach again for three days. And DC was inaccessible. When our initial conversation was abruptly ended she was crying and as upset as we had ever heard her. And we could do absolutely nothing. Its sad how many people have forgotten that tragic, awful and painful day and its aftermath. Pray God that nothing like that ever again happens.
