This page is growing like crazy and it makes me happy that you decided to inform yourself about Foster Parenting / Foster Adoption. You think making an positive impact in you own childs life is rewarding, wait till some of your foster children or even foster adoptive children tell you, that without you, they would be probably drug addicts, school drop outs or worse. I tell you how it is....being a Foster Parent will be the most challenging thing you will be doing in your life but to the same time it is the most rewarding thing. When a foster child spends with you longer then 4-6 month you see positive changes and when people tell you wow you do a great job, it makes you feel proud of yourself. I remember my sons coming into my house those stories about my older one where horrible, they got told right when the case worker left them, this is the last house you two will be together if you dont make it here you both will be separated. It broke my heart.
