This page is once again re-published. We would like to take this time to reiterate some guidelines. This page was created because there was another page created to attempt to prove the guilt of Shelbyville Police officers in an alleged altercation. It is the official view of this page as a whole that it is POSSIBLE 2 officers on the SPD were involved in using excessive force. We also believe it is POSSIBLE the story has been grossly exaggerated, and the alleged victim has wounds that were self inflicted. These are both viable possibilities, and we will not allow the case to be tried on our Facebook. This is not a page to argue for 10 straight hours, harass, and berate each other until everyone sees your point of view, whichever side you may land on. You may respectfully debate. This means you are at liberty to post opposing views and why you take the stand you take, but once you see that your debate has turned into an argument, it is time to agree to disagree and walk away from the keyboard. We will strictly enforce this. If you do not want to be banned, you will follow these guidelines. No matter how passionate you are on either side of this, the case will not be tried on a public forum. Guilt on either party will not be proven here - despite the efforts of many. Again, this page exists to refute the guilty accusations made against the SPD. We want the officers who have vowed to protect our city to know that we uphold the 5th amendment. They have the right to a fair trial, and they are innocent until proven guilty through the Justice System - not until they are "proven guilty" on Facebook.
