This part of a video about #ClimateChange tells the difficulty Cambodian farmer Sao Boeun and other 600 households experienced in getting water, even for household consumption. With fund from Embassy of Sweden in Phnom Penh and Global Environment Facility, a UNDP’s project helps solve this problem for the villagers by getting water from distant and high waterfalls, which takes almost an hour away on foot from their villages. Since 2011, their livelihoods have greatly been better off. With abundant water, they grow vegetables, raise animals for sales and their health have improved while children can go to school. How could we do it to get water easily from the distant waterfalls, which takes almost an hour away on foot? What innovation did UNDP’s project use solve the water problems for the people?
