This past Friday night was one of the most rewarding practices that I have been a part of in a long time. When I say this it is not to take away from what I see and experience every day from the kids in the gym. But, it was just very special and in fact combined with Saturdays practice I am still floating in the clouds with excitement. Anyway, when I watch kids who just turned 6 and 7 years of age and have only been on our developmental team for about 3 months and they are casting to a handstand on bars, its exciting. When I turned in another direction and watch a 2nd year gymnast performed a Techachev for the 1st time on high bar thats exciting too. (Attached video) Add 8 developmental team kids that have been on the team from one week to 3 months and every one of them consistently do squat ons the low bar then jump and catch a high bar for the 1st time and then over and over again, thats pretty fun. When you watch one of the guys on the team perform a triple full even on to a Resi pit (the 1st time working on them) more fun. When 2 girls (one only being in gymnastics for one year) and the other a level 4 this past season perform casts handstands into giants solo, things are getting more intense. And then watching one of the young boys perform front giants for the 1st time, things are now pretty amazing. Then when you are summoned to watch backhand springs and flight series on the high beam (first-time achievements again), its time to start pinching yourself. And then all of the excitement gets contagious and rally to do skills, excitement of girls perfecting optional floor routines, absolutely no hesitation to go through conditioning And Actually Have Fun The Entire Time. So many kids making personal strides and achieving so much even with kids away for the holiday weekend was just pretty special! Did I say I was excited! •Great Kids• Great Staff• Great Facility• Life is good! God is great!! We Are G-Force
