This past Monday ACS Naturalist Martee Shabsin joined Capt. Dave aboard his original catamaran DolphinSafari for a last minute #WhaleWatching adventure out to see the sperm whales. One whale came over to the boat, popped its head above the surface, and blew Martee a kiss! In this great up-close video taken by Martee we can see the very unique blowhole of the sperm whale. Unlike other large whales we see here such as blue whales and humpback whales that have two blowholes on the top of their head, sperm whales have only one blowhole at an angle on the left side of their head.
