This past Saturday, we were all badly injured and bruised, and greatly traumatised by the terror attack at Westgate Mall. I salute many who demonstrated unflinching courage to safe fellow Kenyans and our visitors without concerns of their colour, race or religion. To all those who donated precious time, money and blood to assist the victims, we salute you. To those who are encouraging counselling those who were affected, we shall remain greatly indebted to you. To those who spared time and sleep to feed, encourage and keep vigil with our police, soldiers and the journalists, we also appreciate you. You are all great and fine souls. As we mourn the dead, we remember the precious time we enjoyed and treasured together. We shall always remained engrained in our memory as a people. But you death was not in vain. Your blood and tear has watered our sovereignty and united us as one people. We are all one. These events serve as a wake up call on the new dangers that confront and threaten our nation. They remind us of the urgent need to redefined our homeland security- of the great important to free our malls, towns and villages from potential terrorists attacks and work of criminals. To the terrorists, their sympathisers and financial, and all those who kill, main and terrorise others in the name of their god, we shall defeat you. Your days are few and numbered. We shall wage unrelenting war against you in the land, our shores and air until you are no more. To those amongst us who have or will travel to Somali or other places to train on how to kill and terrorise us, you are not welcomed back. To radical clerics who distort the teachings of a great prophet and incite young people to violence, you shall not be allowed to preach in our mosques. These sad events also remind us of the need to hasten the reforms in our security agencies and fight corruption at all costs; especially amongst our security and immigration officers. The love of money must never compromise the security of our beloved motherland and safety of our children. We must all change our altitude towards mammoth. My deepest condolences to the bereaved. To the injured and all those in hospital, we wish you quick recovery. To the other victims, we stand together with you at this difficult moment.
