This past Sunday I announced to my church family that I’m being considered for the position of Executive Director of Panfork Baptist Encampment. Early in September I was approached and asked to pray about sending my resume to Panfork after our Executive Director resigned. Alisha and I prayed for a solid six weeks and I went ahead and sent my resume mid-October. My thoughts were they would find a more qualified candidate, but I did what God told me to do. My heart told me to just be obedient. In early December Alisha and I were contacted and asked to come for an interview. Alisha, Sam, and myself met with the Panfork Executive Board in Pampa on December 11 and had a great discussion with the Executive Board about the position of Executive Director. The week after Christmas I received official word that I was going to be presented before the entire Encampment Board on January 15 to become the new Executive Director of Panfork Baptist Encampment. It is my understanding that the Board will have opportunity to ask me questions and then they will vote on whether or not to hire me then. Through this whole process we have seen God working in our lives. We are excited as well as sad. Excited about what God has in store for us, but also sad to leave our church family who we have grown to love over these past 7 ½ years. Time and time again I have preached about being obedient to where God is leading you, even if you do not feel qualified or equipped. I guess I was preaching to myself and now I must live that out. We covet your prayers us and for our church family at Key Heights Baptist. With God in it, good things, no great things, are in store for everyone involved. Blessings, Terry
