This past Sunday was interesting. Early tide, so I left the dock before the sun was up. Around the bend from Isle of Hope, the fog had settled in and it was necessary to run the edge of the marsh to keep oriented. Out the Wilmington running the docks to know where I was at, and then as I neared the sound the fog lifted. The sunrise was spectacular, coming up through layers of fog and cloud. I waited for the tide to come in and the fish waited too. Not too many tailers but a good number of cruisers. Saw Jim Mercer poling his skiff and he graciously let me fish the left side of the hammock we were approaching. Three nice fish in there. I sorta kinda felt bad for getting that side to fish, but not too bad. Thank you Jim
