This past Sunday we were proud to receive 36 of the Journey of Hope’s riders and crewmen into the Steel City. The Journey of Hope is one of Pi Kappa Phi’s greatest initiatives taking 105 Pi Kappa Phis on a 4,000 mile cross-country bicycle trek over the course of two months. Divided into three routes, riders bike an average of 75 miles a day, all the while making various friendship visits at local groups that support people with disabilities. This year, the North Route riders stopped by at the Three Rivers Rowing Association. Previous years have seen visits to the Pittsburgh chapters of UCP (United Cerebral Palsy), and Best Buddies. Thanks to courageous example set by these riders, and the charity and generosity of donors like you, JoH has raised more than $550,000 for people with disabilities this summer. Also, a very special shout out to our own brother Dan Jeong who completes his journey today in DC. Proud to be a Pi Kapp.
