This past spring iLCP Fellow Clay Bolt officially launched Beautiful Bees: a multi-year project focusing on North Americas native bees. One species that he hopes to draw special attention to is the Rusty-patched Bumble Bee (Bombus affinis). This is an insect that has declined 87% in the last 15 years. Recently, Clay flew to Madison, Wisconsin hoping to find this elusive bee. As luck would have it, his good friend and iLCP Affiliate Neil Losin Photography of Days Edge Productions was also in the area on assignment and filmed Clay at work in the field. Take a look!
