This past summer Officer Perry Renn of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was shot and killed after exiting his patrol car when he responded to a report of a man brandishing a weapon. After this tragic incident the suspect was arrested, and in a subsequent television interview, one of the suspects relatives suggested Officer Renn should have stayed in his car to avoid the confrontation. That seemingly simple comment ignited a fire that has spread worldwide throughout our police family and has become a rallying cry. This video was made by local and state police from the Indianapolis area in response to that comment. I believe it expresses the feelings of all LEOs worldwide. Well done Officer Renn and to the men and women of law enforcement everywhere, keep on getting out of your cars.
