This past training year has been phenomenal. We once again certified the Homeland Response Force Mission, all of our units have had extremely successful training periods, and our Guardsmen have demonstrated an incredible breadth of technical and tactical expertise. Our Civil Support Team answered the call for multiple real world missions and our HRF personnel conducted an astounding four separate annual training periods. And, as always in the Army, we experienced changes in leadership throughout the brigade without losing sight of our mission objectives. Next year looks to be just as challenging. We will have another round of annual trainings throughout the year, a large-scale special focus event in April, and we will deploy the 136th ESB to an overseas mission next summer. Of course, as we reflect on all these accomplishments, we must remain vigilant in our commitment to respond to no-notice incidents, natural disasters, and even the increased border activity as our governor sends 1,000 Guardsmen to the border.
