This past week I was in for tests and met a lovely Irish lady in her 60s. She was taking my medical history and when we got to the breast cancer history she stopped and said she was sorry and that its a terrible thing to go through. I agreed and shared that I am cancered out and am tired of losing people I care about. Its been a rough year so far. This Irish angel of a lady shared this... The first part of our lives is learning to get friends, loved ones and stuff. The last part of our lives is about learning to let it all go. Children grow up and go on to have their own lives, loved ones pass on or you realize they are not who you thought they were and choose not to spend time with them. We all must go eventually. This is so true and we must learn to let go with grace. Its called life. Caroline Connolly and I talked about it last night and she shared that there is a movement to embrace and support people through the process of letting go. Such apart of life our society remains so disturbed by it. Has me thinking....
