This past week, over & over again, the story of God coming to Elijah in a gentle whisper, instead of being in the powerful wind, earthquake or fire, has stirred in my heart & mind. How many times do we miss God & what He is doing, because we are only looking for Him in what we consider the big things? There is no doubt that throughout history, God has performed miracles so that men might know Him & His power, and still does today, but He is just as powerful when He meets us personally & quietly, that we may know Him intimately. Let us not be like the people in Jesus day that kept asking for miraculous signs in order to believe, when He was right there in their midst. The evidence & His presence are all around us too. Where or how will He reveal Himself to you today? Are you watching & listening? Lord please forgive us for the times we dont see & recognize You at work.
