This past weekend my office organized a Healthcare Coverage Enrollment Fair. Working with community outreach organizations and Enroll Virginia - our volunteers were able to set up an office at the Arlington Mill Community Center with over twenty computers, work stations, and childcare for families. With dozens of shifts throughout the day we were able to secure healthcare protection for over 200 of our neighbors. I want to thank everyone who helped with this wonderful project. I would especially like to thank my old friend Leni Gonzalez and the incomparable Jason Stanford from my office for their incredible work putting the entire event together. Simply put - as a direct result of their hard work - people they dont even know (people they never met before) will be able to live healthier and more secure lives. Not bad for a days work!!
