This past weekend, the Ontario Young Liberals officially launched - TopicsExpress

This past weekend, the Ontario Young Liberals officially launched their first ever Mentorship Program; a program designed to engage more youth within the Liberal Party. The program will pair youth, between the ages of 14-25, with elected officials and senior staff of both the Ontario Liberal Party and the Liberal Party of Canada. The OYL Mentorship Program will provide the opportunity for youth who are interested in public service life, either as an elected official or as a political staff member, to experience and learn first hand from their mentor. This program is exactly what our youth need to learn about the various opportunities available to them and to help them plan their career paths accordingly. The Mentorship Program will ensure that youth are much more engaged with the policy decisions that affect them directly. Over the weekend, the Ontario Young Liberals received tremendous support from the membership at large of the Ontario Liberal Party, and within 24 hours of launching they had signed up over 70 mentors who are ready and eager to help youth find the path that drives and motivates them. Many high profile elected MPPs and senior staff such as the VP of Engagement for the Ontario Liberal Party, Niloo Boroun, and Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca have already signed up. They are now seeking anyone between the ages of 14-25 interested in politics to join their program and sign up. Youth are encouraged to email [email protected] immediately.
