This past weekend was a very sad weekend - however on the flip side I made me very very proud to live in this community. My son is a member of the Orangeville Flyer minor tyke green team - the same team that young Spenser McFadyen was on. His family put it out there that their last game would be a tribute to Spenser. The outpouring if support for the family was amazing. Having over 700 people show up to a minor tyke house league game at 745 in the morning just goes to show what type of community we live in. Parents of players from the other minor tyke teams showed up early to have their kids be a part of the tribute and making Spenser a part of their games. And the junior A flyers for showing up to support. And all the hockey families in between. Its absolutely amazing and fills my heart! Thank you Orangeville (and surrounding townships) for being so great!
