This past year I have seen (and participated in some of my own) so much negativity on social media, particularly fb. Whether its a passive aggressive post that is clearly targeted towards someone or just a general complaint, it is negative none the less and I think the world has enough of that going on. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and free speech does exist, but as with every privilege and right that we have, It should not be abused or taken for granted. Freedom of speech should be used to publicly voice opinions that matter and enact positive change in the world. If you truly feel that is what you are doing then by all means. But I think we can all agree there are some rants and raves that are best kept to ourselves or at the very least vented out loud to a close friend, not the 300 people who follow you on Facebook. Food for thought and definitely the theme of all my resolutions this year. It shouldnt take the beginning of a new year to become a better person this is true, but growth is always a good thing, better late than never.
