This past year or two Ive stayed primarily apolitcal on Facebook (sticking to food, family and cocktails, mostly), thanks to learning the real political leanings of some of my friends or associates. What a crappy way to find out someone is a bigot or racist or homophobe, that Facebook is! That said, this photo bears publishing for one reason--the Confederate Flag blowing in the wind, just one less than the American flags visible at the same rally. I cannot think of a single issue I align with Mia Love, and now there is one more--it was my Greek immigrant family (and those of many others, plus Italians and Slavs), who witnessed the burning KKK crosses in Bingham Canyon and Carbon County. Symbols of the Confederacy will always be associated with racism--recently at Dixie U in St. George. The irony lost on Mia, and her utter lack of awareness, speaks volumes.
