This person operated a rescue. A dog we helped with heart worm treatment was allegedly adopted out by them but no one has access to the alleged adopter to verify. This is just heartbreaking because in the end, you never know for sure who to trust. Im thankful that our dollars go directly to the veterinarians treating the animals but, unfortunately, we cant always be 100% sure that the animal we helped really got a second chance in life. The rescue person who had over 100 cats in various stages of death (Detroit) was never charged and some say she may still be in the rescue business. Im sure our friends will agree that this is not rescue; this is torture. Please, if you ever see something suspicious or animals who look like they are being mistreated, neglected, or worse, please contact the authorities. We are their voice. ~ diana
