This photo is highly offensive. Not every poor person is lazy. Many poor people cant get jobs because they dont have a college education. Some of them are far too sick to work, for example people who have cancer that need chemotherapy. And lots of Americans who do work cannot afford healthcare. This picture is completely insensitive. It is the Republicans who are wrong for causing the government shutdown simply because they dont think all human beings should have a right to healthcare. Minimum wage is not even close to matching the cost of living today, and most minimum wage employers do not provide healthcare for their employees. They avoid having to give out healthcare by intentionally only giving out 35 hours of work to each employee each week.
