This photo was taken January 1, 2014, 6 days after the Christmas morning fire that destroyed the old Hungry Fisherman/Tripps Seafood building. Note the absence of any of the wood frame. Unusual for any fire. Usually, some of the framework is still vertical, or semi-vertical. After abt 2 decades of sitting abandoned, the wood was so badly decayed, that everything was consumed. A body was found inside. As of 2, or 3 months there was still no ID on the victim. Speculation was that it was one of the homeless, in and around Camp Jordan, who started a fire to get warm. All that was left is brick and concrete.
