This picture looks like chaos because managing t1d in the midst of living life things often get pretty chaotic. Luke stopped with his dad to use the bathroom during the JDRF walk, I found a seat up ahead about 50 yards or so and waited. Jedi starts to alert but Luke was not with us. I was sitting with a good friend who has t1d so she checks herself but its not her shes fine. Jedi continues to alert. Luke comes back and joins us his CGM says 120 steady, we test him in the middle of the walk and he is 73. This dog continues to amaze me every day, surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of type 1s hes still watching over his boy. Dogs smell like we see color, so Jedi can identify Lukes personal low scent even when he surrounded by other peoples low and high scents, just like we can see the difference between red and pink. We love this dog- good low Jedi!
