This piece of music for 8 alto saxophones unites two creative principles: the overtone series and the Fibonacci series. At the musical point where these two series meet, by intoning the fibonacci numbered overtones with the saxophones, we can hear the sound of a beautiful, endlessly extending spiral of ever-alternating sixths with each interval leading perfectly to the next. Love in Numbers makes audible the sound of the Fibonacci row and the golden proportion in its most pure sonic manifestation, hidden within the overtone series.
