This piece was taught to me by very first piano teacher, Ms. Prisscilla Martinez, and is very memorable because its the piece where I didnt win a place in a competition. Its a difficult piece, and I had to work on it for six months with endless repetition. The judges liked my technique, but thought that I played from muscle memory, with no sensitivity. I learned an important lesson from that competition and I stopped thinking about winning. To be a good interpreter, I focus my heart to feel the elements of music. Its about feeling the change in dynamics, the rhythmic pattern, the melodic lines, and the tonality of the composition.
