This pisses me off. I struggle with secondary mitochondrial myopathy and a rare form of PNKD. It took 8 years (EIGHT YEARS!) to finally get some answers and those came from genetic testing. How can a hospital change a diagnosis over a few days or even a week and call it psychological parental abuse? Most people in the medical field dont even know what mitochondrial disease is or entails. I had quite a few neurologists try and tell me it was in my head. Doing this to a 15 year old girl and then trying to frame her parents for child abuse and keep them from her is evil.
