This planet is solely machines, the previous inhabitants got lazy, started building machines to work for them, even used the machines for war when an alien species attacked them. They got lazy with the machines too, teaching the machines how to make more machines, and how to look after themselves. At this point the machines didnt need their sentient creators anymore, the machines started becoming independent, eventually turning on their creators, and all life on the planet. The war didnt take long, an infinite number of learning machines, who didnt feel pain against a few billion living creatures, all of which had never experienced war. Since then, the planets technology has escalated amazingly. They started traveling between planets just 2 years after taking their planet, quickly going to war with the immortals, once the pirates showed up, the machines and immortals joined forces to fight the pirates, this war has gone on for thousands of years. Our job today, is to stop the robot assembly line, so they stop creating more. While the pirates are a bigger threat, the machines need a sense of mortality, they also need a reason to send more than 5 percent of their population to war, we will convince them, that this is a pirate attack.
