This post from Randall Waldrep brought back memories when my children were this age. Guy and I lived in Colorado and we had his three boys and my three children, Clark (15), Donna (14), Jeff, John, and Lewis all the same age (12), and Bruce age (6). I received a call from my sister Clydene complaining that I never wrote to her. I promised I would. She and Bill owned a couple of newspapers. She had a column in one of them. I did not hear from Cly for a while. Finally I received a newspaper from Texas in the mail. When I read the newspaper, there listed under Clydenes column, was my last letter to her verbatim . My last letter to her had been a list of accidents in which the children had been involved for the past week. That letter convinced not only Clydene, but her readers as well, that I really did not have time to write letters
