This post is continuation from a post of my friend @Shravan Nadakarni My comment for Shravans post: I would say RIGHT EDUCATION is the only solution for most of these problems. It is unfortunate that we need to learn lessons about cleanliness, accountability, respecting nature etc... But it is the high time for all of us to have the right education and be the change for better India. This is what weve missed in our school education and also education from the society at large. At present situation, we need a PM to bring the change because we as individual, family or as society as large have failed to realize the importance. ಶಂಖದಿಂದ ಬಂದ್ರೆನೇ ತೀರ್ಥ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ. We need to take the best from west and also from east like China / Japan. At the same time we need keep our culture and beliefs high. This will work only when we get over with Chalta hai attitude towards our duties and get rid of Jugad Technology concept. Mars mission is a master piece that our scientists have achieved. It is the scientific temper and commitment from space scientists which has delivered the results. Unfortunately, some people said Mars mission is the best example of Jugad technology because it was low cost and carried out with whatever we had and it worked. We need to change this type of attitude in our thinking. This will come with right education. About ZERO, solar system, aircraft etc... is the thing of the past. Brits destroyed our education system and also independent India accepted western education system. There are two ways to go ahead. Firstly, were catching up with the science and technology of the west. We can do it better if politics is kept of our education system and only MERIT rules. Secondly, we need to revive the gurukula system to suite the todays generation. We need to learn about Bharadwaj muni, Patanjali, Kanada, Susruta, Charaka, Aryabhata, Varahamihira, Bramhagupta, Nagarjuna etc. before Pythagoras, Newton etc. We strongly need to look at संस्कृतेन सुसंस्कृत भारतम् । Everything in west is not good. But west is better in many ways only if youve the right education. In fact, Ive seen the people living on streets in harsh winter in the developed countries. We need to be equipped with right skill and education to lead a good life wherever were in the world. We as Indians need to realize it. In the west, life is simple. I dont need to worry about electricity, water, bus service, train service etc., for which I need to think everyday in India. But when will it change in India? and who will do it? It should done by us. We need to change the system and I need to be the change. Every educated will understand what is good for him and the country. We need to realize if something is harmful for me as individual will also be harmful for the country. This will come with right education. It is always the right time to get the right education. Right education leads to right thinking which will lead to right actions. Let our actions take the country in a better path. Ive stressed here on RIGHT EDUCATION because weve taught and learned a lot of WRONG. It is the time to make it right. To conclude, Change is must. Change has to be good. Our generation is going through a lot of changes. Just see how much has changed since our childhood in 90s. I strongly believe these changes will lead to enlightened India. Yesteryears glories will be back in the coming decades and most importantly, were going to build it. My prediction 2050. Well be old, but surely will see the भव्य भारत | PS: I couldve written this comment better in Kannada. But to share the discussion with my countrymen Ive tried in English.
