This post is for both my Finnish friends and also the friends I have back in the States. Thanksgiving is not a holiday celebrated here in Europe but it gives men an opportunity to show my appreciation to my European friends and colleagues as well as the ones stateside. I want to start by saying how thankful I am for how everyone here in Finland has welcomed me, an outsider into their country. Especially the metal community who have taken a chance on me as a photographer and let me take their photos. Bands like Block Buster, Carnal Demise and Lazy Bonez and Turmion Kätilöt I thank you for the promo photo opportunity and that you were willing to take a chance on me. Jaakko Metsäpelto Jaakko Kauppinen Miikka Närhi I want to thank the other people here in Finland who have basically let a stranger take their photos because they thought enough of my work to allow me to do so. Khemwadee Utriainen Alexandra Karpenko I want to thank those inside the music industry itself who have allowed me to conduct interviews and attend shows to write reports. Heta Hyttinen Nuclear Blast EUROPE I want to express thanks to the bands who have made me feel welcomed and encouraging in what I do, like Battle Beast, Noora Louhimo Anton Kabanen Eero Sipilä And I want to personally thank Teemu Siikarla for some of the great photo tips he shared with me a few summers ago that helped propel my photography to a higher level. Also, a BIG thank you to everyone who donated for my photo trip to Germany this past summer which are both Europeans and Stateside residents. For my friends stateside I want to thanks Jason Richards and Brandy Richards for being such great renters of my home while I am gone and who have made sure that it was well maintained.
