This post is from The Michaels Restaurant Review, but is again from 2009 and is perhaps not totally up to date. Maybe some people can fill me in where I am wrong. This specific review is a mix of the Hudson 99, and the West Concord 99. 99restaurants/ -------------------------------------------------------- I used to go the 99 a lot. But since Charlie Doe left it has gone steadily downhill. The last few times have been so disappointing I am likely not to go again. Owner: OCharleys owns it, and the interior has turned mainstream and ugly. Quality has gone downhill and phone customer service is lame. Interior: 99 reasons pictures are now all over the place, rather than the interesting items that used to be there. Food: It can be good or bad, but it is never great anymore. They dont know how to make a burger slider, hockey pucks would be a better phrase. How one messes up a baked potato is beyond me. The seafood chowder used to be great, but now it can be great (thick) or a watery soupy mess. Expect ok steaks, warm salads, mediocre pasta and chicken. New items=bad. Service: Usually quite good. The people seem to care, but the long-timers are definitely not happy (and are all leaving). Price: Decent, but no longer do I feel like I am getting my moneys worth.
