This post is probably best filed under Stupid Things Bug Addicts Cant Resist Doing. This morning Hannah and I went to the ATM at our local bank. The building lights occasionally attract some decent moths and today was no exception. A big beautiful Imperial moth was resting on the wall right next to the security camera. We debated for a few seconds about the likelihood of police intervention and decided if we needed to we could talk our way out of it starting with Officer, can you believe the big Imperial moth on the wall!. Police officers always seem to like those kind of bold statements (Ive had a fair amount of experience with this). Luckily it didnt come to that and the moth was easily secured with my net for a closer look. But I am debating whether to keep my money in that bank. I mean, hell...I guy swings a butterfly net in front of the ATM next to the security camera and nothing happens. And all the while, someone stands in the middle of the parking lot snapping photos.
