This post is regarding a complaint I received about an ad on this site. This is the response I gave the person who complained and I decided to post it here as well in case anyone has forgotten why this group was started in the first place. I started the group so the people on Craigs list who always get flagged would have an avenue to re-home puppies. I think it is wrong for people to flag each others ads. Nobody should judge anyone. Who knows what a person may be going through. And GOD FORBID they got desperate enough to just dispose of an animal because they felt they had no other choice. Who knows if some lonely person sees their dogs face in the ad and want to give it a home and does not mind paying what other people may think is to much money. I am an animal lover...all animals! The most important one being the human animal. This world is a hard place and some people are just clinging to their vines trying to hold on. Why should we want to try and knock anyone off their vine? Nobody in their right mind is going to pay $1000 for a mixed breed dog so why is what somebody else does so important? People do crazy things all the time. Letting ourselves get upset over something out of our control will only change your own state of mind. We can choose to focus on the love in the world and try to see it in everything and everyone, because its there. Or we can choose to be the one who lives in strife and causes strife. This time of year more than ever we are reminded of how we should treat each other and how we should feel about others. As we enter into the Christmas season we should all take the time to practice our smile out more on total strangers. A smile from a stranger can make a persons day, it has mine! It restores a bit of your hope in humanity when someone you do not know smiles at you. People seem to have lost their brotherly love. It is from not using it. It still exists but we are all to miserable to remember. If you start using it again it gets so easy to keep doing it. John 13: 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” This is the one commandment that Jesus left us. If you follow it you could not possibly break any of the 10 from the old testament. How much did Jesus love us? What kind of love should we have for each other? John 15: 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 1 Corinthians 13: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
