This post is so true. I found myself talking to a woman the other - TopicsExpress

This post is so true. I found myself talking to a woman the other day at my Drs office who was in a wheelchair who seemed pretty down on life. They were running Behind that day, but really it was God running things from up above. I talk to anyone I meet, thats just me but God really put it on my heart to speak to her & more importantly...listen to her. I bent down beside her wheelchair so we could talk quietly & hopefully put her at ease talking to me. She explained about her pain, the many surgeries she has had to endure and her husband leaving her for someone else. I took her hand and told her I related to everything she had told me & understood her struggles more than she realized. I explained that I was in the Process of getting a Service Dog to literally save my life. She looked at me with shock as I explained my incurable disorder that I was struggling with & how its turned out to be a race against time to obtain the funds to purchase the Dog I desperately needed. Then she asked me the question I was waiting for.... How do you do it? Your so young & happy spirited? I said I was GRATEFUL to just wake up today and be able to make this Drs appointment. I said God has been My Rock and he has given me a new perspective on life. I told her, people talk about being grateful everyday...but when you KNOW each day is a gift to just be here....your perspective changes. I told her The Lord reminds me everyday how blessed I am and I turn to him for strength & rest in his promises because I KNOW with certainty that I will be with him, when my time comes & will live forever in his kingdom. She re dedicated her life to God that day and said she was going to go back to her church that she had been out of for several years now. I gave her my ministry card from PURE Friendship Ministries @ Marcus Pointe Baptist and told her to please come anytime & to find me on Facebook. I will never forget, as I went to enter the elevator I glanced back to see her and she was looking at me with the biggest smile & waiving.....then the yelled out to me God Bless You Rhonda!! I smiled, waved back and wondered if I would ever see or hear from her again. Then I remembered it didnt matter....because she was in Gods hands now! I knew he could meet her every need & be her rock, just as he is mine. I was merely his servant, placed at the right time, to plant the seed......he is the rain....that will make that seed grow!! Im praying for you Brenda....wherever you may be! This post goes out to you. Your Sister In Christ, Rhonda
