This post may upset some folks but here goes as a veteran i and my fellow brothers and sisters took a oath and that oath was to the Constitution.Not a party or a government but to a set of guidlines that controll our very way of life .And to that end that oath did not have a experation date ,it did not say this oath was only good while we were in uniform or that it ended at the end of our enlistment.I took it to mean for life. And i will protect the Constitution until i am gone the oath itself goes as follows. In the Armed Forces EXCEPT the National Guard (Army or Air) I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God So with that said we did not take this oath so that some liberal Professer who thinks he knows more than anyone eles can undermine it nor do we need a court to tell us what it says .It was written in plain english and easy to understand .I take for what it is plain and simple and will defend it that way also .There are far to many cowards out there trying to change its core values just because they think they are outdated but then again i doubt any of them even understand that it is what America is and without we would not be who we are.
