This post will not stay up long and somebody will probably kick me out if the group for telling you the real way The City of lake worth runs , trust me been working there 12+ years so I know the ins and outs on what really happens .. First up I see everybody is complaing about the pot holes and roads in Lake worth , this all happened because your city manager the he she Steve Susan Stanton layed off the street department trying to fool you saying it was saving money when in reality they started using outside contractours that charge 3 times what the city was paying its workers to do the same job but without preventive maintince the city workers do day to day .. The city runs on a general fund which is funded by tax dollars and other sources they get money from but the real money come from the utilities fund and budget .. The city has the money to fix the roads and water and sewer pipes without taxes or bonds or whatever else they want to bullshit you with .. Why spend its own money when it can spend others people money ?? Why do you think Everytime they elect a new city manager you get a new utility director and finance director ?? Because they hire there buddies so they all can hide and manipulate the paper trail on where the money goes and how its spent .. This 2020 plan you guys voted on , only created by the new city utilty director to show that he was trying to do some kind of work to justify the 100+k he makes so his buddy the city manager can give him a bigger raise .. The more money they can save in their budget is used elsewhere to hire an assistant (friend ) at 75k ... Its all public knowledge sure you can go down and request all the paper work you want so you can see it for yourself but the problem is you wont get it for 3 weeks while they fudge the numbers so it doesnt look so obvious .. They real city workers that you see in the green and orange shirts sweating there ass off in the sun everyday havent gotten a raise or cost of living in 8 years , your commissioners, utility director ,finance director, secretary, city manager all have gotten big raises .. Was it on the news that the last City manager and utility director got fired for stealing money ?? Nope because the city keeps it hush hush .. Instead of voting you residents and customers should write letters to the FBI and invite them to come clean house , then and only then will you have a city the will work for you the residents and not themselves ... Last thing the Palm Beach County sheriffs are doing and awesome job in lake worth Ive seen the difference first hand they are making .. I work out in the streets everyday and they might not catch everybody but they are not playing around or sitting around at dunkin donuts , they are making a difference !!
