This prayer of Jesus is so profound and striking: Mat 11:25-26 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. Hast revealed them unto babes. This portion of scripture just reveals how important it is to receive right doctrine, instruction and revelation as babes in Christ, new believers. Why new believers should not attend seminary, why new believers should not attend a dry and powerless congregation, why new believers should seek scriptural and Holy Spirit revelation over a mans opinion. Why? Because once a new believer is taught wrong and they grow up on false doctrine, they become according to the Word of God wise and prudent and unteachable even by revelation of the Holy Ghost, they are stubbornly set in their ways like a Pharisee of the time of Jesus. Like the saying, you cant teach an old dog new tricks and it is the truth, Calvinists want to cling to their heretical once and always saved, dry churches want to claim the Holy Ghost decided to turn off after the last Apostle died, preterists say we live in the Kingdom Age; aint it sad that God can use a stubborn ass to speak through, but not a prophet that has the Holy Ghost upon them? You teachers and pastors and self proclaimed elders, you will be held accountable for teaching babes falsely to make yourself feel more comfortable in your false doctrine; Jesus said it would be better for you to commit suicide than to cause a babe to stumble. We coming to the end of the end, no time to play games, its time to rebuke false teachers and doctrines and mark them and name names. Blessed are you if you have a teachable spirit, for out of the mouths of babes is praise perfected.
