This problem does not seem to have a solution. White America seem to be determined to show the African American community that black men have no value. It does not seem to matter what proof is given; police are given a free pass to end the life of black men across the country. The age does not seem to matter either; the headlines are filled with white police officers using deadly force quickly and often. Once the injustice happen, the white community lines up to support the behavior of the white officers. They send outrageous amounts of money to make sure they can hirer high paid lawyers. They are provide with places to live in secret in order to avoid public scrutiny. It matters little to most White American the amount of damage created by this type behavior. Black African American Mothers and Families are left broken and in pain. The black community is left feeling hopeless; with few options to show the pain that fuels their angry. When they burn and destroy property; they are refer to as thugs. It is hard to understand why White American refuses to see the role they play in this response to the killing of black men by police. We have gone from a time where black men were hung in trees for looking at a white woman to police officers killing black men in broad daylight. It seems that white officers have no fear related to how they deal with apprehending or killing African American men. The grand juries are prepared to release them back on the black community without any punishment. The black community is asked to accept this behavior with little or no recourse. Where is the justice in allowing police officers to use deadly force against unarmed black men? Where is the justice in letting criminals patrol our street under the pretense of protecting our communities? When does White America accept us as equals and stop the double standards when it comes to protecting the lives of all Americans. We should not be afraid of police and we should not have to accept being treated as second class citizens.
