This question was asked by one of our members...is it okay to workout when youre sick? The general answer is yes. If its just the sniffles or even a light cough, working out is okay for your body. You may just need to take it a lower slower. However, if you have a lowered lung capacity due to a heavier cough or fluid or if you have a fever, you should avoid working out. Working out increases your body temperature and breathing, which if both are compromised, the results will not be beneficial to your body. (Source; WebMD & ACSM)
