This quote provides good perspective upon the reality we endorse but too often elect to ignore. Social networking has put everyone in the same boat, cauldron, however you see it. It is no longer cool to be famous and so aloof that you ignore all the people you might never meet, but upon whom you depend for your ongoing happiness and financial security. Ignoring those who dont buy your books or your records is not cool either. AI brought down these barriers a long time before social networking. Its not necessarily socialism. Im still essentially an anarchist. But my first benefit gig, as a teen, was for Amnesty International. I am very fond and proud of this organization and its work. Nothing else comes near on a global level.
