This raises some interesting questions about songs in the rock era in general. Yes, the chorus is remarkably similar, but the songs are totally different. (I think Robin Thickes Blurred Lines is a bigger infringement of Marvin Gayes music.) And so much of blues and rock sparks derivative work.
