This recovery may seem like a burden, dear Lord, but in all honesty it is the greatest blessing of my life, it makes every movement, every simple task hurt physically and mentally but it has also made me to pull closer to You and to my husband who has been right by side for 5 days straight now. This was not the planned road after surgery. I was supposed to go home after 3 days, walking within hours, but Lord your will has been done and while the surgery went perfectly and the compression and "space" issue was healed immediately, the recovery has taken longer than expected. Even if I am able to go home tomorrow, I am weeks, possibly months for being myself again and doing all the amazing things for all the amazing people, that You, dear Lord have put in my life. Tonight, I am thankful for the pain, because without it there would be no healing. I am thankful for the support group around me, I am thankful for You, dear Lord, the only One in the universe who could see that sometimes sharks and bunnies live in perfect harmony and need to be wed in happily ever after. Ps. James is totally the bunny.
