This reminds me of a time gone by when the transformation and testimony of the work of the Holy Spirit on ones life was equally as appreciated as the song and music. Unfortunately our services are so programmed & time-conscious that most guest artists are asked to get up and sing their hit and sit down. When you know a person has written from conviction instead of creativity alone, ministry happens and people do what they do today; talk about how a songwriter connected them to Jesus. Although the accolades he achieved are plentiful, I have yet to see anyone post a list them. It has ALL been about his delivery of the anthems we have not only grown to love, but that have made us grow in Christ. Thats the difference. Thats a legacy.
