News & Opinion from Adventist Today Sunday, October 27, 2013 BREAKING NEWS Large Majority Elects Woman as Conference President It happened today (Sunday) by a large majority vote in the largest and often-most-experimental conference in the North American Division. The election of the first women ever chosen as a full-term conference president through normal channels cannot be other than a major milestone in denominational history—an election that apparently was meant to be.
