This research has been doing the rounds (and psychology research should always be approached cautiously). The central suggestion seems to be that socially compliant people are more susceptible to doing immoral things in order not to offend - immoral things such as killing and torturing. Those who are prepared to offend or to rub people up the wrong way are not. To bully, cajole, dominate and groom the compliant is a psychopathic trait. Draw your own conclusions.
